Effective date: 8 October 2026

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Urban Buyer Commercial ("UB Commercial", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website, enquire about our services, engage us, attend an inspection or event, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Our commitment to privacy

We aim to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), where they apply to us. This policy is intended to operate nationally, including in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

2. The personal information we collect

The type of personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

your name, title, business name, postal address, email address and telephone number;

information about your property requirements, investment objectives, budget, preferred locations, commercial requirements and transaction history;

information contained in correspondence, enquiry forms, surveys, meeting notes and telephone calls;

information about properties you own, occupy, lease, are considering buying, selling or leasing, or are otherwise associated with;

identification, verification and financial information where reasonably required for an engagement, transaction, payment, compliance process or to prevent fraud;

professional information, including your role, employer and business contact details; and

website and device information, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, dates and times of access, approximate location and information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

We generally do not seek sensitive information. If it is necessary for a particular service or legal requirement, we will handle it with additional care and only as permitted by law.

3. How we collect personal information

We may collect personal information directly from you when you contact us, complete an enquiry form, subscribe to communications, attend an inspection, use our website, engage us, or otherwise deal with us.

We may also collect information from third parties where appropriate, including selling agents, property owners, landlords, tenants, developers, advisers, service providers, publicly available sources, referral partners and government or regulatory bodies. Where practicable, we will take reasonable steps to make you aware of that collection.

If you provide us with personal information about another person, you must ensure you are authorised to do so and that they are aware of this policy.

4. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

respond to enquiries and provide our commercial property advisory, acquisition, negotiation, advocacy and related services;

assess your needs, identify suitable opportunities, conduct due diligence and facilitate property-related transactions;

communicate with you about properties, services, appointments, inspections, events and transactions;

manage our relationships with clients, suppliers, referral partners and other business contacts;

verify identity, undertake compliance checks, prevent fraud and meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations;

process payments, manage accounts and resolve issues or complaints;

improve our website, services, communications and client experience;

conduct research, analysis, planning and business development; and

send marketing and promotional communications where permitted by law.

We may use de-identified or aggregated information for analysis and reporting. That information does not identify you.

5. Marketing communications

We may send you information about commercial property opportunities, market insights, events and services that may be relevant to you. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us using the details below. Opting out of marketing will not stop essential service, transaction or administrative communications.

6. Who we may disclose information to

We may disclose personal information to third parties where reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including:

property owners, vendors, purchasers, landlords, tenants, developers, selling agents and their representatives;

professional advisers such as solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, financiers, valuers, building consultants and insurers, where relevant to a transaction or engagement;

contractors and service providers who support our business, including IT, cloud storage, website, analytics, CRM, communications, marketing, payment and administration providers;

referral partners, where you have requested or authorised a referral or it is otherwise appropriate in connection with our services;

regulators, law-enforcement agencies and government authorities where required or authorised by law; and

any other person or organisation with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.

We require service providers handling personal information on our behalf to take reasonable steps to protect it and to use it only for authorised purposes.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including cloud, communications, analytics and customer-relationship-management providers, may store or process information outside Australia. Those locations may change from time to time and can include the United States and other countries in which those providers operate.

Where we disclose personal information overseas, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with Australian privacy requirements, unless an exception under applicable law applies.

8. Cookies, analytics and links

Our website may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate effectively, remember preferences, measure website traffic and improve our advertising and content. You can change your browser settings to restrict cookies, although this may affect some website functionality.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of those websites. Please read the privacy policy of each third party website you visit.

9. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, secure systems, staff training and contractual protections with service providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for our business purposes, legal obligations, dispute resolution and record-keeping requirements. When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within a reasonable period and may charge a reasonable administrative fee for providing access where permitted by law. In limited circumstances, we may refuse access or correction; if so, we will explain why, subject to any legal restrictions.

11. Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer in writing. Please provide enough detail for us to investigate the issue.
